What is Revolut Pay?

Revolut Pay is the checkout button of Revolut, the app-based bank. Customers pay from their Revolut balance or a card saved in Revolut, without typing card details. Stripe offers it to businesses with a Stripe account in the EU, the UK, Norway or Liechtenstein: UK businesses charge in pounds, and businesses elsewhere in euros, Romanian lei, Hungarian forints, Polish złoty or Danish kroner.

How your customers pay

  1. Revolut Pay at checkout

    The customer chooses Revolut Pay on Stripe Checkout, next to cards and the other methods you’ve turned on.

  2. The app on a phone, a QR code on a computer

    On a phone, Stripe opens the Revolut app. On a computer, the customer sees a QR code and scans it with the Revolut app on their phone.

  3. Confirm in Revolut

    They check the amount and confirm in the app, paying from their Revolut balance or a card they’ve saved in Revolut.

  4. Order placed

    They come back to your order confirmation page and get your order email, and the payment shows in your Stripe account like any other.

Set up

Turn on Revolut Pay in three steps.

  1. Connect your Stripe account

    Link the Stripe account you already have, or create one in a few minutes from Cornerrr. Payments go straight to it; Cornerrr adds no transaction fee.

  2. Turn the method on in Stripe

    In your Stripe Dashboard, open the payment method settings and turn it on. Stripe may ask a few questions about your business first.

  3. It shows at checkout

    Your Cornerrr checkout is Stripe Checkout, so customers who can use the method see it automatically when their country and your currency match.

How do I accept Revolut Pay on my website?

Connect your Stripe account to Cornerrr and turn on Revolut Pay in your Stripe Dashboard’s payment method settings. Cornerrr’s Stripe Checkout then offers it to customers in the UK and EU when your store’s currency is one Revolut Pay takes, such as euros or pounds.

Do I need a Revolut account myself?

No. Through Stripe, Revolut Pay payments settle to your Stripe balance like card payments. Only your customer needs a Revolut account.

Can customers use Revolut Pay for subscriptions?

Yes. Revolut Pay supports recurring payments in Stripe Checkout. Subscriptions on Cornerrr need the Growth plan.

How do Revolut Pay refunds work?

You refund through Stripe, in full or in part, up to 180 days after the purchase, and your store emails the customer. Stripe says Revolut Pay refunds usually complete within a few minutes.

Can a US business accept Revolut Pay?

Not through Stripe today. Revolut Pay is for Stripe accounts in the EU, the UK, Norway and Liechtenstein, and for customers in the UK and EU.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?
