Cornerrr in Latvia
Describe your business in Latvian and Cornerrr writes the website in Latvian: pages, products, a request form and a Stripe checkout in euros. Latvian shoppers expect parcel lockers and clear return terms, so here is how to handle both, plus the tax rules.
Payments
Latvians pay online by card and through bank payments from Swedbank, SEB, Citadele and Luminor, which reach shops through local payment providers rather than Stripe. Many also pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay on their phones. Through Stripe you can take cards, wallets and Revolut Pay in euros, and SEPA Direct Debit for subscriptions; bank payments and PayPal aren’t available through Cornerrr’s checkout.
Before you start
Latvia’s small-business threshold for VAT (PVN) is €50,000 a year. Once your turnover passes it, register with the State Revenue Service (VID) and start charging PVN.
The standard rate is 21%, with lower rates for some goods. Show the full price including PVN, and delivery costs before checkout: unclear pricing is one of the problems the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) finds most often.
Consumers can withdraw from online purchases within 14 days, and you refund them within 14 days of their notice. Incomplete information about this right is another common PTAC finding, so spell it out.
Show your company name, registration number, PVN number if you have one, address and email, and a privacy policy that explains what you collect and why, as GDPR requires.
Above €10,000 a year of consumer sales to other EU countries, including Estonia and Lithuania, charge their VAT through the One-Stop Shop. None of this is legal or tax advice, only a general guide.
General information, current as of October 2026, not legal or tax advice. Rules and rates change, so check them with an accountant or adviser, or the official sources, before you rely on them.
Cornerrr
Set your store’s currency to EUR and your products, shipping rates and checkout use it. Cornerrr works with about 140 currencies, one per web address.
Turn on Stripe Tax in your Stripe account and Cornerrr asks it to work out VAT for each order at checkout, on any paid plan. You can collect business customers’ VAT numbers too.
Describe your business in Latvian and Cornerrr writes your pages in Latvian. Stripe Checkout shows in Latvian too. A few built-in cart and account labels are still in English today.
Checkout is Stripe’s own, so the local payment methods you turn on in Stripe show up for the customers who can use them, next to cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Local tips
For regular online shoppers in Latvia, a parcel locker is the usual delivery point. Omniva, DPD and Venipak have lockers across the country; set a fixed rate for the network you use, then one for courier delivery.
Write the website in Latvian. Many customers also speak Russian or English, but a Cornerrr website has one language, so keep product names and sizes simple enough to understand either way.
Put the 14-day period, the return steps and who pays for return shipping on each product page, not only in the terms. It saves emails, and it’s exactly what PTAC checks.
How it works
A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.
Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.
Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.
Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions
Yes. Describe your business in Latvian and Cornerrr writes the pages and products in Latvian, and Stripe’s checkout appears in Latvian. Only a few built-in labels on the cart and account pages remain in English for now; rename the add-to-cart and checkout buttons to Latvian yourself.
Not through Cornerrr’s checkout, which runs on Stripe: Latvian bank payments come from local providers. Turn on cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay in your Stripe Dashboard instead, all in euros.
Not while your turnover stays under €50,000 a year, though you can register voluntarily. Ask the State Revenue Service (VID) or an accountant about your case before you reach the threshold.
Yes. Add them to your shipping countries; your euro prices work in all three. Omniva and DPD have lockers in every Baltic state, so one locker rate can cover all of them.
No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.
