Cornerrr in Estonia
Describe your business in Estonian or English and Cornerrr builds the website: pages, products, a request form and a Stripe checkout in euros. Estonia raised VAT to 24% in July 2025; here is that and the rest of what to know before you sell.
Payments
Estonians are used to paying online through bank links from Swedbank, SEB, LHV and other banks, and by card. Bank links come from local payment providers, not Stripe, so they aren’t part of Cornerrr’s checkout. Through Stripe you can take cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay in euros, and SEPA Direct Debit for subscriptions. PayPal isn’t available through Cornerrr’s checkout.
Before you start
Estonia’s standard VAT went from 22% to 24% on 1 July 2025. Prices for consumers must include it, and on any paid plan Stripe Tax can calculate it at checkout once it’s active on your Stripe account.
Register for VAT with the Tax and Customs Board (EMTA) once your taxable turnover in Estonia passes €40,000 in a calendar year. Below that, registering is voluntary.
An Estonian company run by an e-resident follows the same rules. Above €10,000 a year of consumer sales to other EU countries, charge each buyer’s VAT and report it through the One-Stop Shop with EMTA.
Online buyers can withdraw within 14 days of receiving their order. Say how to return an item and who pays return shipping, and name the Consumer Disputes Committee as the place for complaints you can’t settle together.
Show your company name, registry code (registrikood), VAT number if registered, address and email, and a privacy policy as GDPR requires. EMTA’s website has the official rules; this is general information, not legal or tax advice.
General information, current as of October 2026, not legal or tax advice. Rules and rates change, so check them with an accountant or adviser, or the official sources, before you rely on them.
Cornerrr
Set your store’s currency to EUR and your products, shipping rates and checkout use it. Cornerrr works with about 140 currencies, one per web address.
Turn on Stripe Tax in your Stripe account and Cornerrr asks it to work out VAT for each order at checkout, on any paid plan. You can collect business customers’ VAT numbers too.
Describe your business in Estonian and Cornerrr writes your pages in Estonian. Stripe Checkout shows in Estonian too. A few built-in cart and account labels are still in English today.
Checkout is Stripe’s own, so the local payment methods you turn on in Stripe show up for the customers who can use them, next to cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Local tips
Parcel machines (pakiautomaat) from Omniva, DPD and SmartPosti are the usual way Estonians receive online orders. Make locker delivery your first fixed rate and courier delivery the second.
Estonian reaches most customers, while many people in Tallinn and Ida-Virumaa prefer Russian. A Cornerrr website has one language, so choose the one most of your buyers read.
Shoppers used to bank links may look for their bank’s button. Say on your payment page that you take cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay, so nobody is surprised at checkout.
How it works
A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.
Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.
Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.
Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Not through Cornerrr: Estonian bank links come from local payment providers that aren’t part of Stripe Checkout. Offer cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay instead, all in euros.
