Cornerrr in Slovenia
Describe your business in Slovenian and Cornerrr writes the website in Slovenian: pages, products, a request form and a Stripe checkout in euros. Slovenian law takes the language seriously, so this page starts there.
Payments
Slovenians pay online by card and with Apple Pay and Google Pay, and many still prefer cash on delivery (po povzetju). Stripe lets you take cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay in euros, plus SEPA Direct Debit for subscriptions. Cash on delivery and the Flik app aren’t part of Stripe Checkout, and PayPal isn’t available through Cornerrr’s checkout.
Before you start
Businesses in Slovenia should give consumers website information, terms and invoices in Slovenian; a 2024 change to the Public Use of the Slovenian Language Act made this explicit for online shops.
Since 2025, Slovenian businesses can stay outside DDV while yearly turnover is at or under €60,000. If you go over by no more than 10%, the exemption still runs to the end of that calendar year.
The standard rate is 22%, with 9.5% and 5% for some goods and services. Consumer prices must include DDV, and Stripe Tax can calculate it at checkout on any paid plan.
Consumers can withdraw from online purchases within 14 days of receiving the goods. If you don’t tell them about this right, the period can stretch by up to 12 months, so put it on your returns page.
Show your company name, address, registration number (matična številka), tax number and contact details, and a privacy policy for GDPR. Above €10,000 a year of consumer sales to other EU countries, use the One-Stop Shop at FURS. General information, not legal advice.
General information, current as of October 2026, not legal or tax advice. Rules and rates change, so check them with an accountant or adviser, or the official sources, before you rely on them.
Cornerrr
Set your store’s currency to EUR and your products, shipping rates and checkout use it. Cornerrr works with about 140 currencies, one per web address.
Turn on Stripe Tax in your Stripe account and Cornerrr asks it to work out VAT for each order at checkout, on any paid plan. You can collect business customers’ VAT numbers too.
Describe your business in Slovenian and Cornerrr writes your pages in Slovenian. Stripe Checkout shows in Slovenian too. A few built-in cart and account labels are still in English today.
Checkout is Stripe’s own, so the local payment methods you turn on in Stripe show up for the customers who can use them, next to cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Local tips
Pošta Slovenije’s paketomati, GLS, DPD and Express One reach the whole country. Slovenia is small, so set short delivery estimates you can keep; buyers notice when a parcel is late.
In a country this size, people like to know who they are buying from. Put your name, your town and a photo of your workshop or team on the About page, and answer emails quickly.
Look up how people search for what you sell in Slovenian, and use those words in product names and page titles. Cornerrr lets you edit the search title and description of every page.
