Online store for jewelry

Sell jewelry online, collection by collection

Cornerrr builds a jewelry store from a short description: collections, product pages with metal, stone and size options, an engraving request form, a ring size guide and a Stripe checkout that can offer pay-later methods where Stripe supports them.

Step by step

How to sell jewelry online in 6 steps.

  1. Organize by collection and by type

Shoppers browse two ways: by the story of a collection and by what they need, such as rings or earrings. Set up collections for both and put them in your menu, so a bridal buyer and a gift buyer each find their way.

  2. Make metal, stone and size the options

One ring, with sterling silver, gold vermeil and solid gold as options and sizes from 4 to 10, each with its own price and stock. Shoppers compare finishes side by side instead of opening three nearly identical pages.

  3. Photograph on white and on skin

Shiny metal is hard to shoot. Use soft daylight or a light tent, a clean white background for the main photo, one photo on a hand, ear or neck for scale, and a close-up of the stone and any hallmark.

  4. Describe materials precisely

Give the metal and its purity, the plating and its thickness if plated, the stone, its size and whether it’s natural or lab-grown, and the chain length. Buyers comparing jewelry read exactly these lines.

  5. Take engraving and custom pieces as requests

List engraved and bespoke pieces with the price hidden and a form that asks for the words, the font and the piece. Requests land in your Inbox, and you reply with a quote and timing.

  6. Plan for the gift calendar

Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and the winter holidays bring the busiest weeks, and many proposals happen around the holidays too. Add gift collections ahead and post the last order date for engraved pieces.

Built in

A shop made for jewelry, not a blank template.

  • Metals and sizes with their own stock

Every option, from a size 6 in gold to a 7 in silver, has its own price, SKU and stock. Checkout stops when that exact ring is gone, and the others keep selling.

  • Pay later for bigger pieces

Stripe Checkout can offer Klarna, Afterpay/Clearpay or Affirm where Stripe supports them for your country and currency, next to cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments go to your Stripe account, and Cornerrr adds no transaction fee.

  • Shipping rates for insured parcels

Name your fixed rates for what they include, such as tracked and insured or signed for, with delivery estimates. Add the tracking number to the order and the customer gets the shipping email with a tracking link.

  • A store that reads like a jeweler

Ask the assistant to write care instructions for every silver piece, add a birthstone collection or rewrite your About page around your brand’s story, then apply or undo each change.

Good to know

  • Words for metals and stones have rules

In the US, the FTC’s jewelry guides cover terms like solid gold, gold filled, gold plated and vermeil, and lab-grown diamonds must be clearly described as lab-grown or similar. Use only the terms your supplier’s or assay paperwork supports.

  • Disclose gemstone treatments

Many stones are heated, filled or dyed to improve their color or clarity. The FTC’s guides expect you to disclose treatments that aren’t permanent, need special care or change the value, so ask your supplier and say it on the product page.

  • Hallmarking in the UK

In the UK, gold, silver, platinum and palladium items above small exemption weights must be hallmarked by an assay office before they’re sold as those metals, and sellers must explain hallmarks to buyers. Some EU countries have hallmarking rules of their own.

General information to help you get started, not legal advice. Rules differ by country, state and product, so check the ones that apply to you.

How it works

From a few words to a shop that takes payments, live.

  1. Step 1: Describe your business

A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.

  2. Step 2: We build it while you watch

Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.

  3. Step 3: Connect payments

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions

Good to know

How do I help customers find their ring size online?

Publish a ring size guide with the inside diameter or circumference for each size, and the US, UK and EU systems side by side. Many jewelers also suggest measuring a ring the customer already wears, or offer one free resize.

Should I insure jewelry when I ship it?

For valuable pieces, yes: use a tracked service with insurance or a signature, and check the carrier’s limits for jewelry, which can be lower than for other goods. On Cornerrr you set a fixed rate for that service and add the tracking number to each order.

Can I sell engagement rings online?

Yes. Ready-made rings can sell with size options and stock, while custom designs work better as requests: the customer describes the stone, metal and budget, and you reply from your Inbox. Show grading certificates for diamonds where you have them.

Can customers pay for jewelry in installments?

If you turn on Klarna, Afterpay/Clearpay or Affirm in your Stripe Dashboard and Stripe supports them for your country and currency, they appear at checkout. The provider pays you in full and the customer pays them over time.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
