What is BLIK?

BLIK is a Polish payment method built into the mobile apps of Polish banks. The customer opens their banking app, gets a six-digit code, types it into the checkout and approves the notification that follows. Stripe says customers usually approve in under ten seconds, and you know immediately whether the payment succeeded.

    They open their banking app and generate a six-digit BLIK code, which stays valid for two minutes.

  3. Type it in

    They enter the code on the checkout page, on a laptop or on the same phone.

  4. Approve in the bank app

    Their bank sends a notification; they approve it within 60 seconds and the order is paid.

Turn on BLIK in three steps.

  1. Connect your Stripe account

    Link the Stripe account you already have, or create one in a few minutes from Cornerrr. Payments go straight to it; Cornerrr adds no transaction fee.

  2. Turn the method on in Stripe

    In your Stripe Dashboard, open the payment method settings and turn it on. Stripe may ask a few questions about your business first.

  3. It shows at checkout

    Your Cornerrr checkout is Stripe Checkout, so customers who can use the method see it automatically when their country and your currency match.

How do I add BLIK to my Cornerrr website?

Connect your Stripe account and turn on BLIK in your Stripe Dashboard’s payment method settings. Set your store’s currency to Polish złoty, and Cornerrr’s Stripe Checkout offers BLIK to eligible customers in Poland on its own.

Can I take BLIK for subscriptions?

Yes, once you switch on recurring payments for BLIK in your Stripe payment method settings and Stripe approves them for your business. The subscriber approves a mandate in their banking app at the first checkout, then Stripe charges each renewal. Not every Polish bank supports recurring BLIK and each automatic charge has an upper limit, so keep cards on too.

What happens if the BLIK code runs out?

A code lasts two minutes, and once a payment starts the customer has 60 seconds to approve it. If time runs out, they generate a new code in their banking app and try again.

Can I refund a BLIK payment?

Yes, in full or in part. If a customer opens a claim with BLIK instead, Stripe holds the amount and asks you for evidence, such as the tracking number on the order, which you have 12 days to send.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.
