Online store for socks

Sell socks online, one pair or a monthly club

Cornerrr builds a sock shop from your description: designs with shoe-size ranges as options, multipacks with their own stock, a monthly sock club on the Growth plan and a Stripe checkout. Socks are light to ship, so your rates can stay simple.

Step by step

How to sell socks online in 6 steps.

  1. Map sock sizes to shoe sizes

Most sock brands sell two to four sizes, each covering a range of shoe sizes. Write the US, UK and EU shoe sizes for each one on the product and in a size guide, so nobody guesses.

  2. Sell single pairs and packs

A three-pair box is a gift; a single pair is an impulse buy. List both, with the pack as its own product with its own stock, and photograph the box open and closed.

  3. Start a sock club

On the Growth plan, a monthly sock club is a subscription that Stripe bills automatically, with optional free trial days. Say clearly what arrives, when you ship it, and that members email you to cancel or change.

  4. Photograph on feet and flat

Show each design flat, on a foot from the side and as a pair, so the pattern and the cuff height are clear. Bright socks look best in plain daylight against a neutral floor.

  5. Say what they’re made of and for

Cotton for every day, merino for hiking and cold days, nylon and elastane for stretch. Give the blend, the thickness and the cuff height, and say whether a pair is meant for boots or sneakers.

  6. Get ready for gift seasons

Socks are a classic gift for Father’s Day and the winter holidays. Add gift boxes a month ahead, and set a free-shipping code with a minimum order so people add a second pair.

Built in

A shop made for socks, not a blank template.

  • A sock club on subscription

Monthly or every-three-months plans, billed by Stripe on the Growth plan, with optional free trial days. Members see their subscription in their account.

  • Sizes and packs with their own stock

Each design keeps stock for each size, and gift boxes keep their own count, so the website stops selling a box once you’ve sold the last one you can pack.

  • Custom socks on request

Companies and events order custom socks in bulk. A request form for quantity, colors and logo sends the details to your Inbox, and you reply with a quote and the minimum order.

  • Simple shipping for light parcels

A few pairs fit in a flat mailer. Set a standard rate and an express option with delivery estimates, and add the tracking number when you ship.

Good to know

  • Fiber labels on socks

Socks are textile products, so US and EU rules on fiber content apply: show the blend in percentages on the label and the listing. In the US, socks containing wool also fall under the wool labeling rules.

  • Health claims on compression socks

Compression and diabetic socks can be treated as medical products in some places. If you sell them, keep to what your supplier’s paperwork supports and avoid claims about circulation or health.

  • Packs and clubs protect your margin

A single pair carries high packing and payment costs for its price, which is why packs and clubs help. Work out what one order costs to pick, pack and ship before you set the single-pair price.

How it works

From a few words to a shop that takes payments, live.

  1. Step 1: Describe your business

A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.

  2. Step 2: We build it while you watch

Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.

  3. Step 3: Connect payments

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions

Good to know

How many sizes should my socks come in?

Many brands start with two or three, such as small, medium and large by shoe size, and add kids’ sizes later. Fewer sizes keep each design deep in stock.

Can I run a sock subscription without a separate app?

Yes. On the Growth plan, subscriptions are built into Cornerrr: Stripe Billing charges members every month or on the schedule you set, and members see their plan in their account.

How do I make custom socks for a company?

Most small brands work with a sock knitting mill that has a minimum run per design. Take the request through your website with the logo and quantity, confirm the mill’s minimum and lead time, then quote.

Can sock club members change their size themselves?

Not yet. On Cornerrr members can see their subscription in their account, and they email you for any change. Say that on your sock club page so nobody goes looking for a button.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
