Step by step

How to sell trading cards online in 6 steps.

  1. List singles with set, number and condition

Put set, collector number, language and finish (foil or not) in the title, and make condition, such as Near Mint, Lightly Played or Moderately Played, an option with its own price and stock.

  2. Treat graded cards as one-offs

Photograph the actual slab front and back, name the grading company and give the certificate number. Each graded card is its own product with a stock of one.

  3. Sell sealed product with preorders

For a new set, switch on “sell when out of stock”, state the release date, and post on time. Players remember the shop that delivered on release day.

  4. Bring in singles in bulk

Typing in hundreds of singles takes days. On the Growth plan, import products from a spreadsheet with set, number, condition, price and stock, then spot-check before you publish.

  5. Ship cards the way collectors expect

Penny sleeve, top loader, team bag, then a rigid or bubble mailer, with tracking for anything valuable. Say on your shipping page exactly how you pack.

  6. Run events as tickets

Weekly tournaments and prereleases become products with the date, format and seats as stock. Checkout stops when the event is full.

Built in

A shop made for trading cards, not a blank template.

  • Condition as an option

One card, several conditions, each with its own price and stock. When the Near Mint copy sells, the Lightly Played one is still there to buy.

  • Tickets with seats as stock

Players pay for tournament entry at checkout, and your Orders list shows who’s registered for each event.

  • Spreadsheet import on Growth

Import products from a spreadsheet instead of entering every single by hand, then let the assistant tidy the descriptions for you to approve.

  • Buylist requests

Players who want to sell you cards send their list through a request form. It lands in your Inbox, and you reply by email with an offer.

Good to know

  • Counterfeits and proxies

Fake cards circulate, especially for high-value singles. Check cards before you buy them in, and never sell proxies or reprints as originals.

  • Release dates for sealed product

If you buy sealed product through a distributor, follow the street date in its terms. Selling or posting early can cost you your allocation.

  • Game names and artwork

Use game names to describe what you sell and photograph the real cards, but don’t use the publishers’ logos or card art as your own shop’s branding.

General information to help you get started, not legal advice. Rules differ by country, state and product, so check the ones that apply to you.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Describe your business

A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.

  2. Step 2: We build it while you watch

Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.

  3. Step 3: Connect payments

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions

Good to know

Can I sell graded cards online?

Yes. Each graded card is its own product with a stock of one, photos of the actual slab and its certificate number. Ship slabs padded, in a sturdy box, with tracking.

Do I need tracking for valuable cards?

For anything valuable, yes: tracking helps if a buyer says a parcel never arrived. Add the carrier and tracking number to the order, and the customer gets a shipping email with the link.

Can I sell tournament entries on my website?

Yes. List each event as a product with the date and format, and stock equal to the seats. Players pay at checkout, and you see who’s entered in your Orders list.

Can customers sell cards to my shop through the website?

They can send you a buylist through a request form, which lands in your Inbox. You reply with an offer by email and arrange the cards and payment with them directly.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
