Step by step

How to sell collectibles online in 6 steps.

  1. Pick your lane

Figures, die-cast, coins, stamps, sports memorabilia: collectors trust specialists. A clear focus tells you which terms your buyers search for and which events and groups to show up in.

  2. Describe condition in collector terms

Loose or boxed, box condition, complete or missing accessories, paint wear, sun fading. Use the grading words your hobby already uses, and photograph every flaw you mention.

  3. Back up authenticity

For signed items and high-value pieces, show the certificate or third-party authentication and say who issued it. Don’t list anything you can’t vouch for.

  4. Use stock for multiples, one-offs for the rare

Several copies of a new release can share one product with stock. Each vintage or graded piece gets its own product, its own photos and a stock of one.

  5. Take preorders for new releases

Switch on “sell when out of stock” for an announced figure, put the expected release month in the description, and update it if the maker’s date moves.

  6. Keep want lists

Add a request form for the pieces collectors are hunting. Each request lands in your Inbox, and you can write back when one comes in.

Built in

A shop made for collectibles, not a blank template.

  • Want lists in your Inbox

Collectors send what they’re looking for through a form. Requests arrive by email and in your Inbox, so the hunt list isn’t scattered across messages.

  • Preorders with a release month

Paid preorders arrive by email and in your Orders list, so you know exactly how many to order from your distributor.

  • Galleries for every angle

Each product holds a gallery of photos, enough for every side of the box, the accessories and each flaw, with alt text the AI writes and you can edit.

  • Codes for your regulars

Create a discount code that each collector can use once, or one that starts on the day of a show you’re attending and ends a week later.

Good to know

  • Don’t sell on future value

Avoid promising that a piece will rise in value or calling it an investment. Describe what it is and its condition, and let collectors decide what it’s worth to them.

  • Label replicas and customs

Sell genuine licensed products, and label reproductions, replicas and custom pieces clearly. Selling fakes or unlicensed character merchandise can lead to takedowns and legal claims.

General information to help you get started, not legal advice. Rules differ by country, state and product, so check the ones that apply to you.

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Questions

Good to know

How do I price collectibles for my website?

Look at what similar pieces in the same condition have actually sold for, not at asking prices, and price the condition you’re selling. When the market moves, ask the assistant to update the prices you choose.

Can I take preorders for new collectibles?

Yes. Turn on “sell when out of stock” for the product and say when it’s expected. Customers pay at checkout, and you post the pieces and add tracking numbers when they arrive.

How do I ship collectibles safely?

Box in a box: the item in its own box or a protector, padded inside a sturdy outer carton. Boxed collectibles lose value with crushed corners, so pack as if the box is the product.

Can collectors ask me to find a specific piece?

Yes. Add a want-list form: collectors describe the piece and the condition they’re after, the request lands in your Inbox, and you reply by email when you find one.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
