Step by step

How to sell wedding invitations online in 6 steps.

  1. Split ready-made from custom

Ready-made designs with a fixed price can be products couples buy straight away. Custom suites, designed from scratch, work better as “price on request”, so you can quote once you know the details.

  2. Ask the right questions up front

On the request form, ask for the wedding date, how many invitations, which pieces they need, colors and style, and the printing method they like. A good first request saves several rounds of emails.

  3. Sell a sample pack

Couples want to hold the paper before they commit. Sell a sample pack as a product, and if you want it to count toward the order, send the buyer a once-per-customer discount code.

  4. Proof by email, approve in writing

Send a PDF proof by email, ask the couple to check every name, date, time and venue, and wait for a written approval before printing. A typo found after printing is the costliest mistake in this work.

  5. Publish your timeline

Save the dates usually go out six to eight months before the wedding and invitations six to eight weeks before, and custom work needs time for proofs and printing on top. Put your lead times on the home page.

  6. Show real suites

Photograph full suites laid flat with envelopes, liners, wax seals and ribbon, plus close-ups of the print texture. Ask couples’ permission before showing their names and venue.

Built in

A shop made for wedding invitations, not a blank template.

  • Ready-made designs as products

Each design can have quantity, paper and color options, each with its own price, so couples choose and pay through Stripe checkout without waiting for a quote.

  • Custom suites as requests

Custom work hides its price and cart button. Couples send the date, quantity and style through a form, the request lands in your Inbox and by email, and you reply with a quote and proofs.

  • Printable templates as downloads

On any paid plan, sell printable invitation templates as digital downloads, delivered after payment and kept in the buyer’s account.

  • Pages for every part of the day

Ask the assistant to add a page for day-of stationery, a page on your process from sample to delivery, or FAQs about postage and timelines.

Good to know

  • Postage for heavy suites

Suites with RSVP cards, liners, wax seals or ribbon often weigh more than a standard letter, and in the US square or rigid envelopes need extra postage. Weigh a finished suite at the post office and tell couples what it costs to mail.

  • Suggest a few extras

Advise couples to order a few more invitations than their guest list, for keepsakes, late additions and addressing mistakes. Reprinting a small batch later costs far more.

  • Agree terms before design starts

Put in writing what a custom order includes, how many rounds of proofs it covers, when it’s paid and what happens if the couple changes the design after approval.

How it works

From a few words to a shop that takes payments, live.

  1. Step 1: Describe your business

A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.

  2. Step 2: We build it while you watch

Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.

  3. Step 3: Connect payments

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions

Good to know

How do I sell custom wedding invitations online?

List custom design with “price on request”. The couple sends the date, quantity and style, the request lands in your Cornerrr Inbox, and you reply with a quote. Proofs then go back and forth by email until the couple signs off.

How early should couples order wedding invitations?

For custom work, around four to six months before the wedding leaves time for design, proofs and printing before invitations go out six to eight weeks ahead. Ready-made designs can be quicker. Put your own lead times on your website.

Can I sell invitation samples on my website?

Yes. Make a sample pack a product with its own stock and price. If you want samples to count toward a full order, give each sample buyer a once-per-customer discount code.

Can couples book a consultation through my website?

They can send a consultation request through a form, and you agree a time by email. There’s no calendar booking, so say on the page how soon you usually reply.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
