Online store for used books
Describe your secondhand bookshop and Cornerrr builds a website for it: each copy listed with its condition, edition and photos, a stock of one so it can’t sell twice, book-buying requests and a Stripe checkout.

Step by step
Every listing takes time. Start with the copies people search for (first editions, signed books, out-of-print titles and complete sets) and keep cheap paperbacks for the shop floor.
Use the trade’s terms: as new, fine, very good, good, fair. Grade the book and the dust jacket separately, and name each flaw, such as foxing, a cracked hinge, an inscription or library stamps.
Give the publisher, year, edition and printing (check the number line on the copyright page), and the binding. Collectors pay for a true first printing and skip vague listings.
Show the cover, spine, copyright page and every flaw, never a stock image. Buyers of used books want to see the exact copy they’ll get.
On the Growth plan, import listings from a spreadsheet with titles, conditions, prices and SKUs, then add photos to the copies that matter most.
Add a page where people can offer you their collections, with a request form for what they have and where it is. Requests land in your Inbox, and you reply by email.
Art, books and paper
Products with photos, options, prices and stock, a cart and a Stripe checkout.
Built in
Every copy is its own product with a stock of one. When it’s paid for, checkout stops, so a rare book can’t sell twice online.
On the Growth plan, bring in hundreds of listings from a spreadsheet, with SKUs that match your shelf locations or your own stock codes.
Price-on-request forms let readers ask you to find a title and let sellers offer you their books. Both kinds of request land in your Inbox.
Each book gets its own page title, description and product structured data, so search engines can read the title and price of every copy you list.
Ready-made themes

Made for Bookshops, Stationers, Record shops
Bookish and characterful for bookshops and stationers.
Before you start
A book sold over the counter stays listed online until you set its stock to zero. Keep online copies on their own shelf, and update stock at the end of each day.
Wrap each book in paper or a plastic sleeve, protect the corners with card and box it with no room to move. A bumped corner or a damp patch turns a very good copy into a refund.
Only call a book signed or a first edition when you’re certain. For valuable signatures, say how you know, such as provenance or a dated inscription, and say what happens if a buyer has doubts.
General information to help you get started, not legal advice. Rules differ by country, state and product, so check the ones that apply to you.
How it works
A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.
Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.
Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.
Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.
Payments
Payments go through your own Stripe account, straight to you. Your customers see the methods you turn on in Stripe that work for their country and currency.

Questions
Most booksellers use as new, fine, very good, good and fair, grading the book and its dust jacket separately and listing every flaw. Be consistent and a little strict; buyers come back to sellers whose “very good” really is.
You can, but list the books worth the time first. On Cornerrr’s Growth plan you can import listings from a spreadsheet, each copy with its own SKU and a stock of one.
In the US, Media Mail is the cheap, slow choice for book-only parcels; elsewhere, compare letter and parcel rates by weight. On Cornerrr you set fixed rates and add tracking numbers, and the buyer gets a shipping email.
Yes. Add a “We buy books” page with a request form asking what they have, how many and where. The request lands in your Inbox, and you reply by email to arrange a visit or an offer.
No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.
Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
