Step by step

How to sell craft supplies online in 6 steps.

  1. Group options, not hundreds of products

One ink with every color as an option and its own stock; one bead with its sizes and finishes. Shoppers find the color they want on one page, and your catalog stays manageable.

  2. Photograph colors as they really are

Shoot swatches in daylight on white, the same way every time, and add a swatch card photo for each range. Crafters match colors to a project, so a wrong shade means a return.

  3. Say exactly what’s in the pack

Count, weight, length, sheet size or volume, plus the bead hole size or paper weight. Makers plan a project around these numbers before they add anything to the cart.

  4. Sell kits that finish a project

Put everything for one finished piece in a kit with step-by-step instructions on a printed card or as a PDF. Kits are how beginners start, and they come back for refills.

  5. Show what people can make

On the Growth plan, post project ideas and tutorials on your blog that mention the supplies used. They bring makers looking for ideas to your shop.

  6. Say how fast you post

Crafters often buy for a project this weekend. Put your dispatch time on the home page and on your shipping rates’ delivery estimates, and keep to it.

Built in

A shop made for craft supplies, not a blank template.

  • Colors and sizes with their own stock

Every color of every ink keeps its own stock count. Checkout stops when one runs out, and stock goes down as each order is paid.

  • Kits and bundles as products

A kit is its own product with its own photos, price and stock, so you can sell it next to the separate supplies it contains.

  • Bulk orders on request

Mark classroom packs and studio orders “price on request”. Teachers send quantities through a form, the request lands in your Inbox, and you quote by email.

  • Supplies and workshops in one shop

Sell workshop seats as products with limited stock alongside the supplies used in class, so students can stock up before they arrive.

Good to know

  • Hazard labels on paints and resins

Some resins, solvents, glues and inks need hazard labels and safety data sheets under CLP rules in the EU and UK. In the US, art materials need labeling under the federal art materials rules, often shown as “Conforms to ASTM D4236”.

  • Flammable items and the post

Alcohol inks, some spray paints and solvents are restricted by postal services and carriers. Check before you list them for shipping, and say which items you can’t send abroad.

  • Kits for children count as toys

Craft kits designed for children can fall under toy safety rules, with testing and markings. Check what applies before you label a kit as one for kids.

General information to help you get started, not legal advice. Rules differ by country, state and product, so check the ones that apply to you.

How it works

From a few words to a shop that takes payments, live.

  1. Step 1: Describe your business

A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.

  2. Step 2: We build it while you watch

Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.

  3. Step 3: Connect payments

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions

Good to know

How do I list hundreds of colors without hundreds of products?

Make each range one product with color as an option, and give each color its own photo, price and stock. Shoppers pick from the list on one page.

Can I sell craft kits with instructions?

Yes. List the kit as its own product with stock, and include printed instructions in the box. If you have a PDF version too, you can sell it as a separate download on any paid plan.

Can schools and studios order in bulk from my website?

Yes. Mark bulk packs “price on request” so they send quantities through a form, and turn on tax ID collection for business buyers ordering at checkout.

Can I add many products at once?

Yes. On the Growth plan you can import products from a spreadsheet, and the assistant can write descriptions for new ranges for you to approve.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
