Step by step

How to sell crystals online in 6 steps.

  1. Photograph each specimen as it is

Daylight, a plain background, several angles and a coin or ruler for scale, without filters that boost the color. For labradorite and other stones with flash, show it from the angle where it appears.

  2. Give the facts collectors want

Mineral name, locality (country, and region or mine when known), size, weight, and whether it’s natural or treated. Collectors and decorators both buy on these details.

  3. Disclose treatments and lab-made stones

Much citrine on the market is heat-treated amethyst, agate is often dyed, aura quartz is coated, and some turquoise is reconstituted. Say so on the page; honest labels keep buyers and cut returns.

  4. Write about meaning carefully

If you mention traditions or symbolism, present them as folklore and keep to what the stone is. Avoid health or wellbeing claims of any kind.

  5. Say what you know about sourcing

More buyers ask where stones come from and how they were mined. Share what your suppliers can confirm, and don’t call stones ethically sourced without evidence.

  6. Pack points and clusters for the trip

Wrap each piece on its own, protect points with a cap or extra padding, and double-box anything heavy. Weigh packed parcels before you set your shipping rates.

Built in

A shop made for crystals, not a blank template.

  • One-off specimens, sold once

Each specimen is its own product with a stock of one. Once it’s paid for, checkout stops, so two buyers never pay for the same cluster.

  • Sizes and weights as options

Tumbled stones and points can have sizes or weight grades as options, each with its own price and stock, on one page per mineral.

  • Requests from collectors

Collectors looking for a particular mineral or locality send a request through a form. It lands in your Inbox, and you reply when you find one.

  • Descriptions written with you

Upload a photo and Cornerrr drafts the listing. Ask the assistant to take any wellbeing claims out of every description at once, and check each change before you apply it.

Good to know

  • No health claims

Don’t say a crystal heals, cures or protects anyone. Regulators such as the FTC in the US and the ASA in the UK act on unproven health claims, and Stripe restricts products sold with them too.

  • Minerals that need care

Some minerals, such as malachite and galena, contain metals that make their dust harmful, and selenite is damaged by water. Don’t suggest crystal water or wearing stones on the skin, and add care notes.

General information to help you get started, not legal advice. Rules differ by country, state and product, so check the ones that apply to you.

Questions

Good to know

Can I say what crystals are good for?

You can share traditions and symbolism as folklore, but avoid claims about health, mood or healing. Describe the stone itself: mineral, origin, size and how it looks in the light.

How do I ship crystals without damage?

Wrap each piece separately, fill every gap so nothing moves, and double-box heavy or delicate pieces. Add the tracking number to the order, and the buyer gets a shipping email with the link.

Should I tell buyers if a crystal is treated?

Yes. Heat-treated, dyed, coated or lab-grown stones are fine to sell, as long as the listing says so. Collectors notice, and honest labels prevent returns and disputes.

How does Cornerrr handle one-of-a-kind stones?

Give each specimen its own product with a stock of one. When it’s paid for, stock drops to zero and checkout stops, and the order arrives by email and in your Orders list.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
