A wine shop website with a real note on every bottle

Tell Cornerrr about your wine shop and it builds the website: bottles by region and grape with tasting notes, tastings with tickets, a wine club on the Growth plan and a Stripe checkout. You check the licensing and shipping rules where you sell.

What you get

Your wine shop website, ready in about a minute.

Cornerrr writes every page from your description, then you change anything by clicking or by asking.

Pages it starts with

  • Home
  • Wines
  • Mixed cases
  • Tastings
  • Wine club
  • Delivery
  • Visit us
  • Bottles by region, grape and style

Each wine with producer, vintage, grape and a short tasting note, sorted into collections like natural wines, lesser-known regions and wines for a weeknight dinner.

  • Tastings with tickets

Friday tastings and winemaker dinners as products with a set number of places, so checkout stops when the room is full. Say on each that guests must be of legal drinking age.

  • A monthly wine club

Two or six bottles a month chosen by you, billed by Stripe on the Growth plan. Members see their plan in their account, and you check the rules for each place you deliver to.

  • Events and corporate orders on request

Wine for weddings, parties and client gifts, listed with the price hidden. Customers send the date, the number of guests and a budget, and you reply with a selection and a quote.

Shops and makers

Built for how wine shops actually work.

Products with photos, options, prices and stock, a cart and a Stripe checkout.

  • Delivery only where you’re allowed

Choose the countries you ship to, set fixed rates with delivery estimates, and write on your Delivery page exactly which areas your license lets you deliver to.

  • Tasting notes written with you

Cornerrr drafts a description for each wine from what you tell it, and you correct what only you know: the producer’s story, the vintage, what to eat with it.

  • Stock for every vintage

Each vintage can be an option with its own stock, so when one vintage runs out, checkout stops for it while the next one stays on sale.

  • Sales tax and VAT at checkout

On any paid plan, Stripe Tax can work out sales tax or VAT at checkout once it’s active on your Stripe account. Alcohol duties are separate, so check what you owe.

Advice

What makes a great wine shop website

Whatever you build it with, these are the things that turn visitors into customers.

  1. Check where you can ship wine in the US

Many states don’t allow out-of-state retailers to ship wine to consumers, and shipping within your own state may need its own permit. USPS won’t carry alcohol, and UPS and FedEx carry it only for licensed shippers, with an adult signature.

  2. Know the rules for selling online in Europe

In England and Wales, alcohol sold online still needs a premises license, and every sale must be authorized by a personal license holder. Shipping wine to buyers in another EU country usually means paying excise duty there too. Check with your licensing authority.

  3. Say who can buy

State on every page that buyers must be of legal drinking age and that ID may be checked at delivery. It sets expectations, and it reminds whoever delivers to check.

  4. Write notes people can taste

Skip “complex and elegant”. Say what it tastes like, how dry it is, what to drink it with and when. Customers who trust your notes come back for the next case.

  5. Use tastings to grow your list

Put a newsletter sign-up on your Tastings page. People who came once want to hear about the next one, and you can export the list to the email tool you use.

How it works

From a few words to a wine shop website, live.

  1. Step 1: Describe your business

A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.

  2. Step 2: We build it while you watch

Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.

  3. Step 3: Connect payments

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need a license to sell wine online?

In most places, yes. Selling wine to consumers usually needs an alcohol license, and many places have separate rules for selling online, shipping and delivery. Check with your state, city or council licensing team before you take orders.

Can Cornerrr check a customer’s age?

No. There’s no age check at checkout, so say clearly that buyers must be of legal drinking age, and check ID at delivery or use a carrier service that requires an adult signature.

Can I run a wine club subscription?

Yes, on the Growth plan. Stripe bills members every month or every few months, and they see their plan in their account. Check that your license and shipping rules allow repeat deliveries where your members live.

Can I sell mixed cases?

Yes. A mixed case can be its own product with a list of the bottles in the description and its own stock count, which is easier to order than six single bottles.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
