Step by step

How to sell dried flowers online in 6 steps.

  1. Say what’s natural and what’s dyed

Buyers ask whether colors are natural, bleached or dyed. Say it on every product, and mention that natural colors soften over the months.

  2. Shoot against a plain wall

Dried flowers photograph best in soft daylight against a plain background, with one close-up for texture and one in a vase or on a door for scale.

  3. Sell stems for makers too

Bunches of single stems sell to florists and crafters as well as homes. List them by the bunch, with the number of stems and their length.

  4. Box them so nothing moves

Fix bouquets inside the box with paper and ties so they can’t shake loose, and mark the box fragile and this way up. Set fixed shipping rates by box size.

  5. Take keepsake requests

Preserving a wedding bouquet is a service with a deadline. Mark it “price on request” and ask for the wedding date and the flowers in the bouquet, so you can say yes or no quickly.

  6. Lean into fall and wedding season

Fall wreaths, holiday decor and summer weddings are the busy times. Add them a few weeks early, and use a discount code to clear last season’s colors.

Built in

A shop made for dried flowers, not a blank template.

  • Extras as options

Add a vase, gift wrapping or a larger size as options with their own price, so customers build the gift on one page.

  • Keepsake and wedding requests

Bouquet preservation and bridal flowers start as requests: couples send the date and details, and you reply with a quote from your Inbox.

  • Ship across the country

Dried flowers travel far better than fresh ones. Choose the countries you ship to, set fixed rates by box size and add tracking so customers get a shipping email with the link.

  • Change seasons by asking

Ask the assistant to add a fall collection, write descriptions for new stems or start a sale on last season’s palettes, then apply the change with one click.

Good to know

  • Plant material at borders

Some countries treat dried flowers, seed heads and grasses as plant material and inspect or refuse them. Check before you ship abroad, especially to places with strict biosecurity rules such as Australia.

  • Fire and care notes

Dried flowers burn easily and fade in sun. Add a short care line to every product: keep away from candles, heaters and damp, and dust gently with a hairdryer on cool.

  • Shedding is normal, so say so

Grasses and some blooms shed a little, especially when unboxed. Telling buyers upfront saves a lot of “it arrived damaged” emails.

General information to help you get started, not legal advice. Rules differ by country, state and product, so check the ones that apply to you.

Questions

Good to know

How long do dried flowers last?

Usually a year or more if kept out of direct sun and damp, though colors soften over time. Put this on each product page so customers know what to expect.

How do I ship dried flowers without them breaking?

Use a box a little bigger than the bouquet, wrap the stems, tie the bouquet to the base of the box and fill gaps with paper. On Cornerrr you add the tracking number and your customer gets a shipping email with the link.

Can I sell dried flower workshops on my website?

Yes. List a wreath-making evening as a product with as many places as you have chairs, and it closes when full. Buyers get an order confirmation like any other order.

Can I offer wedding bouquet preservation?

Yes, as a request. Mark preservation “price on request”, couples send the date and flower types, and you reply by email with the price and how to get the bouquet to you in time.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
