Online store for home decor

Sell home decor online, one styled room at a time

To sell home decor online, buyers need to picture each piece in their own room. Cornerrr builds a decor shop that helps: collections by room, sizes and colors as options, styled photos up front, shipping rates and a Stripe checkout that pays you directly.

Step by step

How to sell home decor online in 6 steps.

  1. Shop by room or by style

Group pieces into the collections people actually browse: living room, bedroom, entryway, or a style such as coastal or mid-century. Six clear collections are easier to shop than twenty thin ones.

  2. Measure everything twice

Give height, width and depth in inches and centimeters, the weight of anything that hangs, and the insert size for cushion covers. Plenty of decor returns start with “it was smaller than I thought.”

  3. Photograph each piece styled and plain

Take one clean photo on a plain background, one styled on a shelf or sofa, and one close-up of the weave, grain or glaze. Shoot by a window and keep colors true, because buyers match decor to paint and fabric.

  4. Put colors and sizes into options

A cushion cover in four colors and two sizes is one product with options, each with its own stock. Your collection pages stay tidy and customers compare everything on one page.

  5. Pack for the fragile pieces

Mirrors, glass and ceramics need double boxing. Weigh a packed parcel of your heaviest and lightest items and set fixed shipping rates that cover both, with delivery estimates.

  6. Refresh with the seasons

Decor buyers shop for a change of mood: fall textures, holiday tables, spring colors. Add a small seasonal collection each quarter and put it on your home page a few weeks before people start decorating.

Built in

A shop made for home decor, not a blank template.

  • Collections that match how people browse

Cornerrr starts your shop with collections and menus. Ask the assistant to add a new one, such as “Entryway” or “Small spaces”, and move pieces into it, then apply the change or undo it.

  • Trade and styling requests in your Inbox

Mark trade pricing, custom sizes or styling help “price on request”. Interior designers and customers send their details through a form, and you answer by email.

  • A stock of one for one-off finds

Vintage and one-of-a-kind pieces can have a stock of one, so the piece shows as sold out once it sells and nobody pays for something that’s already gone.

  • Listings and alt text from your photos

Upload a photo and Cornerrr drafts a listing, tags and alt text for it. You edit the words so each description sounds like your shop, not a catalog.

Good to know

  • Product safety details for Europe

Since December 2024 the EU’s General Product Safety Regulation asks online sellers to show the manufacturer’s name and contact details, a product identifier and any warnings on the listing. If you sell to EU customers, check what applies to your pieces.

  • Show color honestly

Screens differ, so do your best before you write “colors may vary”: shoot in daylight, skip filters and name colors the way a paint chart would, such as sage, terracotta or oat.

  • Watch the size of the box

Large baskets and floor vases are light but bulky, and carriers often charge by the size of the box as well as its weight. Check that dimensional weight before you set your rates.

General information to help you get started, not legal advice. Rules differ by country, state and product, so check the ones that apply to you.

How it works

From a few words to a shop that takes payments, live.

  1. Step 1: Describe your business

A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.

  2. Step 2: We build it while you watch

Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.

  3. Step 3: Connect payments

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions

Good to know

Can I sell home decor online and in my store at the same time?

Yes. Your website takes online orders and keeps its own stock count for each piece. Cornerrr has no in-store till, so lower the website stock when a piece sells in the shop and nobody can buy it twice.

What home decor sells best online for a small shop?

Pieces that are easy to picture and easy to ship usually do well: cushion covers, throws, small ceramics, baskets and candleholders. Large or fragile pieces sell too, as long as their shipping is priced properly.

Can interior designers ask for trade prices on my website?

Yes. Add a trade page or mark pieces “price on request”, and designers send their project details through a form that lands in your Cornerrr Inbox. Business buyers can also add their tax ID at checkout.

How many photos should each home decor product have?

Three to five is a good target: one on a plain background, one styled in a room, a close-up of the material and one for each color you sell. Cornerrr can write alt text for each photo, which helps search engines and screen readers.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
