Step by step

How to sell lingerie online in 6 steps.

  1. Show the size range people search for

Bra buyers know their band and cup and look for brands that make it. Put your full range on the home page, such as 30 to 40 bands and A to G cups, and list each bra with band and cup as options.

  2. Sell sets as separate pieces

A bra and its matching brief rarely share a size. Sell them as separate products that link to each other, so one shopper can buy a 32DD with a large brief.

  3. Publish a fit guide

Explain how to measure underbust and bust, how sister sizes work, and how your sizes compare with US, UK and EU labels, which name cups differently above D. Link the guide from every bra.

  4. Photograph with care

Show each piece on a model and as a flat-lay, with close-ups of lace, straps and fastenings. Keep images tasteful: you’re selling fit and fabric, and you’ll want to share the same photos on social media.

  5. Say how parcels arrive

Many buyers want plain packaging with no brand on the outside. Say how you pack and what name appears on the card statement, which you set in your Stripe account.

  6. Plan for gift seasons

Valentine’s Day, the winter holidays and wedding season bring gift buyers who don’t know a size. Add a short gift note to the fit guide about checking the label of an existing bra, and make exchanges easy.

Built in

A shop made for lingerie, not a blank template.

  • Band, cup and color with their own stock

Every combination has its own stock and SKU. Checkout stops when the 34E in black sells out, while the same bra in ivory keeps selling.

  • Customer accounts without passwords

Customers sign in with a code sent by email to see their orders and addresses, which makes it easy to reorder a favorite in the right size. Guest checkout can stay on or be turned off.

  • Policies drafted for you

Cornerrr can draft refund, shipping and privacy policy pages, which you then adjust to your hygiene and exchange rules. They’re drafts to check, not legal advice.

  • Fitting requests in your Inbox

Offer a fitting consultation by video or in your studio as a request: customers send a short note about what they’re looking for, and you reply by email to arrange a time.

Good to know

  • Hygiene and returns

In the EU and UK, the 14-day right to cancel online orders has an exception for sealed goods unsealed after delivery for hygiene reasons. If you rely on it, seal briefs and say so clearly before purchase; otherwise say which items can come back unworn with tags on.

  • Fiber content and care

Lace and mesh are usually nylon or polyester with elastane, and silk can be called silk only if it is. Show the fiber percentages before purchase and give gentle care: hand wash, no tumble dryer, hooks fastened.

  • Keep personal questions out of forms

Ask only for what you need to answer a fit question. Don’t ask for health details in a website form, and keep fit conversations private in your email.

General information to help you get started, not legal advice. Rules differ by country, state and product, so check the ones that apply to you.

How it works

From a few words to a shop that takes payments, live.

  1. Step 1: Describe your business

A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.

  2. Step 2: We build it while you watch

Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.

  3. Step 3: Connect payments

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions

Good to know

How do I help customers who don’t know their bra size?

Publish a measuring guide with a short how-to for underbust and bust, plus sister sizes. Invite questions through your contact form, and offer a size exchange on unworn pieces.

What name shows on my customers’ card statements?

The statement descriptor you set in your Stripe account. Many lingerie shops choose a short, neutral name and say on their FAQ page what customers will see.

How should I package lingerie orders?

Fold each piece in tissue, keep molded cups in shape with a light insert, and use a plain outer mailer. Many buyers keep the inner box, so make that the pretty part.

Can I sell lingerie on my own website instead of a marketplace?

Yes. Your own site lets you show the full size range, explain fit in your own words and keep each customer’s order history. With Cornerrr, customers pay through your own Stripe account, and Cornerrr adds no transaction fee.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
