Online store for wholesale

Sell wholesale online without a second trade website

Describe your products and your trade terms, and Cornerrr builds a website that serves both kinds of buyer: retail products with prices, a wholesale section where shops ask for trade prices, tax ID collection at checkout and invoices for one-time orders.

Step by step

How to sell wholesale online in 6 steps.

  1. Write your trade terms first

Minimum first order, reorder minimum, lead times, payment terms and who pays shipping. Put them on a wholesale page, because buyers want to see them before they ask for prices.

  2. Turn the cart into an application

Add a wholesale product marked “price on request”, so its cart button becomes a form. Ask for the business name, website or address, tax ID if you need it, and what they’d like to stock.

  3. Send a line sheet to approved buyers

Most trade buyers expect a line sheet: photos, product names, SKUs, trade and suggested retail prices, case packs and minimums. Send it by email once you’ve approved a shop.

  4. Use SKUs and case packs

Give every product a SKU and decide your case pack, such as six or twelve. Shops reorder by SKU, and case packs make picking and packing faster.

  5. Decide how reorders work

For regular shops, a trade discount code with a minimum order amount lets them reorder through checkout. Give each shop its own code, with a usage limit and an end date you renew.

  6. Protect your retail price

Keep the suggested retail price the same everywhere, including on your own website. Shops stop stocking brands that undercut them online.

Built in

A shop made for wholesale, not a blank template.

  • Price on request for trade buyers

Any product can hide its price and cart button. Shops send a request through the form, it lands in your Inbox and your email, and you reply with your terms.

  • Trade discount codes

On any paid plan, create a percentage or fixed-amount code with a minimum order, usage limits, once per customer, and start and end dates.

  • Tax IDs and invoices

Collect business buyers’ tax IDs at checkout, and one-time orders come with an invoice. Stripe Tax can work out VAT or sales tax once it’s active on your Stripe account.

  • Payment methods for bigger orders

Turn on ACH or SEPA Direct Debit in your Stripe Dashboard for larger orders, and Billie for business buyers in the countries where Stripe offers it.

Good to know

  • No trade prices behind a login

Cornerrr doesn’t hide prices behind a trade login. Keep wholesale prices off the website, send them on a line sheet, and use a trade code for reorders at checkout.

  • Payment terms happen outside checkout

Checkout takes payment when the order is placed. If you offer terms like net 30, agree them by email and invoice outside the website, or use a business pay-later method where Stripe supports it.

  • Resale certificates and VAT

In the US, shops buying to resell usually give you a resale certificate so you don’t charge them sales tax; keep it on file. In the EU, sales to VAT-registered businesses in another country can fall under the reverse charge. Ask your accountant.

How it works

From a few words to a shop that takes payments, live.

  1. Step 1: Describe your business

A sentence or two is enough: what you do, who it’s for and how people buy from you.

  2. Step 2: We build it while you watch

Cornerrr writes your pages, adds your products or services, and picks the colours, fonts and look. It takes about a minute.

  3. Step 3: Connect payments

Link a Stripe account, or create one in a few minutes. Your customers pay you directly.

  4. Step 4: You’re live

Publish on your free Cornerrr web address, or use your own. Change anything later by asking.

Questions

Good to know

Can I sell retail and wholesale on the same website?

Yes. Retail products have prices and a cart, while wholesale products are “price on request”, so shops apply through a form and you send trade prices by email. Approved shops can then reorder with a trade discount code.

How do I set a wholesale minimum order?

Write it on your wholesale page and your line sheet, and give approved shops a discount code with a minimum order amount, so the trade price only applies to orders above it.

Can wholesale buyers pay by invoice?

Checkout takes payment at the time of the order, by card, wallet or direct debit, whichever you’ve turned on in Stripe. Business buyers can add a tax ID and get an invoice for the order.

How should I price my products for wholesale?

A common starting point is a trade price around half your retail price, so the shop can double it. Work back from your costs to check you still make money at that price before you print a line sheet.

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.

How much does it cost?

Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
