What is MobilePay?
MobilePay is a mobile wallet widely used in Denmark and Finland. Customers keep their cards in the app and approve each payment there. Behind the scenes Stripe charges the card stored in MobilePay, so you learn straight away whether the payment went through, just as with a card payment.
How your customers pay
Choose MobilePay at checkout
On your Stripe checkout the customer picks MobilePay. It appears for customers in Denmark and Finland when your prices are in Danish kroner, euros, Norwegian kroner or Swedish kronor.
On a phone, the app opens
Shopping on a phone, the customer is sent to the MobilePay app, approves the amount and comes straight back to your website.
On a computer, a phone number
On a laptop, they type the phone number linked to MobilePay and approve the request that pops up in the app on their phone.
Paid, or try another card
If the card in the app is declined, MobilePay lets them retry with another card before giving up. Once approved, Cornerrr marks the order paid and emails the confirmation.

Your logo inside the app
Customers see the square icon from your Stripe branding settings in MobilePay while they approve. Upload one in Stripe, or they see a plain default icon instead.
Card rules you already know
Each payment runs on the customer’s card, so refunds and disputes follow the same process as card payments, including partial refunds.

Turn on MobilePay in three steps.
Connect your Stripe account
Link the Stripe account you already have, or create one in a few minutes from Cornerrr. Payments go straight to it; Cornerrr adds no transaction fee.
Turn the method on in Stripe
In your Stripe Dashboard, open the payment method settings and turn it on. Stripe may ask a few questions about your business first.
It shows at checkout
Your Cornerrr checkout is Stripe Checkout, so customers who can use the method see it automatically when their country and your currency match.

How do I add MobilePay to my Cornerrr website?
Connect your Stripe account in Cornerrr, then turn on MobilePay in your Stripe Dashboard under payment method settings. Stripe accounts based in the EU, Norway or Liechtenstein can offer it. Cornerrr’s Stripe Checkout then shows MobilePay by itself to customers in Denmark and Finland when your store’s currency is one MobilePay takes.
Can customers pay for a subscription with MobilePay?
No. Stripe takes MobilePay for one-time payments only, so a weekly or monthly plan on Cornerrr’s Growth plan is paid by card or another method that supports subscriptions. Keep cards switched on for your subscribers.
Can I refund a MobilePay payment?
Yes, in full or in part, and you can send several partial refunds up to the amount the customer paid. Customers get the money back the way they paid.
Do Dankort cards work through MobilePay?
Stripe doesn’t process the Dankort network. When a customer picks a Dankort-branded card in MobilePay, Stripe runs the payment on the Visa or Mastercard network instead.
What does MobilePay cost?
Stripe charges its usual card fees plus a MobilePay fee per payment, and businesses registered in Denmark also pay a monthly MobilePay membership fee. Stripe lists them all on its pricing page. Cornerrr adds no transaction fee of its own.
Do I need any technical skills?
No. You describe your business in your own words and Cornerrr builds the website. Afterwards you change things by clicking, or by asking the assistant in plain words.
How much does it cost?
Building and previewing your website is free, with no card needed. To go live and take payments, choose a plan from $19 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to start it.
