Cornerrr vs Squarespace
Squarespace is known for polished templates and design control. Cornerrr is a Squarespace alternative for owners who want the design and the words done for them, with quote requests, subscriptions and Stripe payments built in.
Squarespace suits owners who care most about how the site looks and want to shape it themselves: photographers, designers, artists and venues. It also has appointment booking through Acuity Scheduling, paid member areas and its own marketing emails. Cornerrr suits owners who want a first draft built in about a minute, then changes by asking, with price-on-request services, subscriptions on Growth and payments through their own Stripe account, and Cornerrr adds no transaction fee.
Side by side
| Topic | Cornerrr | Squarespace |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Small and niche businesses that sell products and plans, or take requests, and want the website set up for them. | Design-led websites and stores: portfolios, creative businesses, restaurants, venues and service businesses. |
| How you build | Describe your business; in about a minute AI builds the pages, products and design, with 3 designs to pick from. Then edit by clicking or ask the assistant. | Start from a template or the Blueprint AI builder, which asks about your goals and style, then edit on a drag-and-drop grid. |
| Design | Colors, fonts and layout chosen for your business, 33 themes, and edits by clicking. Less freedom than a grid editor, and less to decide. | Polished templates and a grid editor for placing text and images exactly where you want them. |
| Appointments | Booking and consultation requests through a form, answered from your Inbox by email. No calendar. | Acuity Scheduling, Squarespace’s booking tool with its own plans: a calendar, availability rules and payment when clients book. |
| Subscriptions | Growth plan: billed by Stripe every week, month or year, with optional free trial days. | Subscription products on every plan, plus paid member areas for courses and content. |
| Payments | Stripe Checkout on your own Stripe account, with the cards, wallets and local methods you turn on in Stripe. | Squarespace Payments, Stripe, or PayPal, which isn’t available on Cornerrr. |
| Transaction fees | Cornerrr adds no transaction fee on any plan; you pay Stripe’s processing fees. | Its entry plan adds a transaction fee on online store sales; the higher plans don’t. Processing fees apply on all of them. |
| Marketing | A newsletter sign-up with double opt-in and a list you can export. It doesn’t send marketing emails yet. | Its own tool for marketing emails, plus emails to shoppers who leave checkout without paying. |
| Selling in person | Online only, with no in-store checkout. | Squarespace POS for selling in person, listed on its plans. |
| Help and editing | An assistant suggests changes in plain words, from prices to page words to the look; you apply or undo each one. | A full editor with built-in AI tools for writing page words and content. |

Why switch
Squarespace gives you beautiful templates to adjust. Cornerrr writes the words, chooses colors and fonts and lists your first products for you, so a bakery or a supplier with no time for design still gets a finished-looking website.
Catering menus, kitchen fittings, wholesale orders: anything can be “price on request”. Requests arrive in your Inbox and by email with the details your form asks for, and you reply with a quote.
Stripe Checkout shows the methods you turn on, such as iDEAL | Wero in the Netherlands, Bancontact in Belgium, BLIK in Poland or TWINT in Switzerland, where Stripe supports them for your country and currency.
Cornerrr adds no transaction fee on top of Stripe’s, whichever plan you’re on. On any paid plan, Stripe Tax can work out sales tax or VAT at checkout once it’s active on your Stripe account.
To be fair
No tool fits every business. If one of these is you, stay where you are.
Photographers, designers, wedding venues and galleries often want to control every image and margin. Squarespace’s templates and grid editor give you that; Cornerrr makes most design choices for you.
Acuity Scheduling gives clients a calendar to book from, and member areas let you sell access to courses or content. Cornerrr has neither: bookings are requests you confirm, and there’s no paid area for members.
Squarespace can send your marketing emails and remind shoppers who leave checkout. Cornerrr collects newsletter sign-ups but doesn’t send anything to that list yet.
Moving over
Copy a few lines from your Squarespace About page into the description box, or pick a theme. Build and preview for free while your current site stays online.
Squarespace can export your products as a CSV file. On Growth you can import products from a spreadsheet; otherwise add them by hand and let the AI write a listing from each photo.
If you used Stripe with Squarespace, you can connect the same Stripe account to Cornerrr, and your payment history stays in Stripe. Or create a new account in a few minutes.
On a paid plan, point your domain to Cornerrr; HTTPS is set up automatically. Add redirects from your old Squarespace links, such as shop and blog pages, to the new ones.

Questions
Only if you mainly want inquiries and a few products, such as prints. Photographers who want full control over galleries and layout may be happier on Squarespace. On Cornerrr, shoots are “price on request” and inquiries land in your Inbox.
No. Cornerrr adds no transaction fee on any plan. Stripe charges its usual processing fees on your own Stripe account.
Yes, on the Growth plan. A subscription is billed every day, week, month or year (or every few of them) by Stripe Billing, with optional free trial days. Customers see their subscriptions in their account but can’t change them themselves yet.
No, PayPal isn’t available through Cornerrr’s checkout, because Stripe doesn’t offer it to platforms like Cornerrr. Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Klarna and many local methods are, where Stripe supports them.
